I see my eating habits changing for my students in that I give them afternoon snacks now so that I can eat my snack when I am supposed to. Now I buy baked crackers and such, things that are low in sugar and fat. "Healthy" snacks. They like them and look forward to having that afternoon break in routine.

My weight has stalled but that is ok it is staying at 170 right now. Inches wise it has changed. My waist is now 37. I get the feeling that maybe I'll be staying at this weight until I get PS that should take off around 10 to 15 lbs from my tummy and that would put me at near my goal weight. I'm really busy at work right now but I'm trying to fit in some workouts and see. I would like to loose 10 more lbs. Keeping on top of my eating and working on getting enough water. That might be the problem since I have not been able to get enough. Will be working on that this week. -Jaz
Hi Lea,
I've seen your challenges in the past and I thought I'd jump on the band wagon as I am a very slow loser. Yes I have two children, boys. And my oldest 24 is over weight and my 9 yr old is fine. But I am concerned because my 9yr old is always hungry. Since my surgery my family has been making better food choices because I do all the shopping. There is no longer any types of soda in my house now.

Hey Lea it's me Lea. 3 kids and all have taken after me. Since my surgery I am cooking smarter and they can't tell the difference. The only difference is I eat alot more chicken and the boys won't eat it all the time so I will grill them a burger extra lean instead. My daughter eats what I eat because she doesn't want me to loose down to her weight now and get into her closet. She has been looseing weight and she is giving me her old clothes. I have already shrank my shoe size so now she has to leave my shoes alone. Lea Ann 213 lbs. shed 73 since the begining of my journey.

I was having severe snacking urges and was eating too often for the past few weeks. I started adding in protein shakes again, and it REALLY cut my cravings down to nothing. I have three to four shakes a day, mixed with water, not milk. I also cut out the Dannon light yogurt I was eating several a day of. I was taking in too much milk sugar.
My kids are all a healthy weight, thank the Lord. I have never been an advocate of the "clean plate club" like my parents were, so they've never felt the need to overeat at meals. They actually leave food on their plate!! I'm really thankful.

I have my step sons every other weekend and I know that since starting this journey I am cooking more healthy, getting out of the house and moving more and try to watch fst food and soda. The younger of the two has slimmed down some this summer. The older is like his dad, naturaly thin and doesn't eat much.
