ROLL CALL!! Sept 17th, 2007
Hi Lea, Everyone- My weight is 174.6 this week. Very happy about that!! Yeah, 170s!!
As for your questions, childhood obesity is tough. From age 10-25 I was obese. I did go on some crash diets in high school and college but nothing lasted. My eating habits were the same as my parents. I hope that when I have children, I can teach them healthier options and encourage a more active lifestyle.

I'm at 174 this morning.
I have three grown sons, all were thin as kids and still manage to keep themselves in shape. My three daughters-in -law are all thin. I have five grandkids four are boys who are very active in sports so no weight problems for them. Our grandaughter is only nine months old and so far she is on the petite side.My husband has gained some weight this past year and is now starting to lose some of it.He is walking in the evenings and watching what he eats.I cook much lighter meals now and he is ok with that.

134 this morning. two pounds ABOVE last week.
i have a daughter who is 8 years old and has 6-pack abs. lols, my bad eating habits haven't affected her YET. fortunately for all of us, i've had this surgery and have been able to implement GOOD eating habits into our household before anything can get out of control. maybe this way we can counteract genetics before they even have an opportunity to mess her up!

.......it's been about tem weeks since the surgery and now my weight loss is finally starting to pick up.........thanks goodness!!!
...yes my daughter is over weight and how i've changed my eating habits are definitely effecting her she's becoming more active and conscious of what she puts in here mouth to the point that yday was my birthday and instead of cake she fixed me a bowl of sugar free jello, with 4 mini rice cakes around the bowl to form circle and a decorative pic of her in the middle....So cute!!!!

I bet your gain is water... Water and STRESS! Danged BCBS idiots!
I think you know quite a bit about kids and eating. You've certainly lived it. And I think that the big bites are a big part of the problem for many kids--eating too much, too fast. My hubby is the same way. He says that I just don't understand. When he was a kid (one of 10 in a poor family), you had to get it while it was still there... Yeah, whatever. Then I would have been a skinny kid! I can't eat fast (never could) and I cringe when I really watch him eat! He picks up a sandwich and will sometimes take 3 big bites into his mouth before he starts to chew! No wonder he gets heartburn! UGH!

HI Everyone,
Post-op: 266
To Date: 190
Hollween goal: 175
Goal: 155
I lost 1 lb this week. had a stresser going on and didn't pay that much attention to my eating but kept up my excersize routine.
The kids in my life are all slim and don't eat very much at meal time and eat slow and are very physically active. They were the ones that encouraged me the most to have the surgery done because I would feel so much better, and they were absolutley right.
