if someone asked?

If someone asked what to expect after surgery. What would you tell them? What has changed for you since surgery? Would you recommend the surgery? What would someone have to tell you for you to tell them that you think this surgery is right for them? I would tell someone to expect many changes. Expect things that change that are not even related to weight and food. Honestly, I can not think of much that has not changed for me since surgery. I guess the biggest things would be wanting to get out and have fun. I wanted to hide in my house before. Now I never want to be home. I would not tell just anyone to go out have this surgery. I guess knowing that the person has tried to lose weight and it did not work and health issues would have me tell them to research it. I am just curious what you all think. Hope all is well. Take care Erin

Erin, I agree with you 100%. After my month post surgery in the hospital I don't encourage anything other than to research all aspects of WLS. I mean it's great I've lost so much weight and such, but the pain and discomfort is a heavy weight on the other side of the scale. That's my 2 cents worth, Derrick
