I just wanted to say again I love you guys and thank you for your support. I am finally home and do much better I am walking and can almost take a shower without my partner help, (I don't know if I want her to ever stop giving me showers ) But I just wanted to update you. I did notice that my partner has been asking questions, i gave her all the info needed to log on before surgery if she every needed your help, i told your that you guy would help her. She has been truly amazing. I have been having a rough time with the gas, didn't know it was going to be like that but, It is soooo much better after all the walking. My stomach is still really sore, but nothing like it was when I first got of the hospital. I really really didn't think it would be this hard. After surgery I felt like someone hit me with 10 mack trucks. I can't stomach the protein shakes, i am scared that I am going to wake up with no hair. The vitamins make me sick to my stomach and getting fluids into me is like pulling teeth. Ever food that my partner made me, was just awlful. It seems as though when you puree something, it just change the tast of the item altogether. I did find 2 things that I like , cream of wheat and mash potatoes (and thanks to special kay really soft eggs.)I think of food constantly. I don't regret the surgery because it was a blessing I fought to have it. But I feel sometimes that I will not be able to eat my favorite food and it depresses me.(Rib tips, Pizza, spegitti meatballs, hotwings) I knew that this will pass and once i start seeing some result i will feel better, but i miss food. I am fine family, thank you for everthing. ( Finda nessy) that you for the phone calls while i was in the hosptal, I would have returned the call, but since you are a college student I didn't want to call you and have your cell phone go off in class . Also thank you (Special kay for calling me at home and giving me hope and advise) Any suggestions to the protein thing would truly be appreciated.

I just wanted to say that I am glad you are home. At first, my partner added anywhey protein to everything I had. I hated it. About a month out, I started mixing it with orange juice and pineapple juice and I liked that. I still do not enjoy many foods, but for now I am ok with that. I think you just need to find what you do like and stick with it. This is a learning experience. In time you will find things that you like. Just do your best and you will be ok.

I am glad to hear that you are doing better. I am still pre op, so I have not tried any of these yet, but I have some ideas to get in protein. Boost drinks have a lot of different flavors and I know that many wls patients drink this right after surgery. Their web site also has recipes that sound good. http://www.boost.com/boostdrinkcons.html Also Carnation Instant Breakfast makes a sugar free powder that has A LOT of protein in it. Their web site has a lot of recipes too. check it out at http://www.carnationinstantbreakfast.com/ Good luck and Happy Farting!

Hi Sherry, I'm glad you are up and posting. I know things are kinda rough now but like I've said and everyone else will say.. It does get better! I sometimes feel like I'll never be able to enjoy some of the things that mad me fat. I had this surgery to help me loose weight, not be on a diet for the rest of my life. I WILL enjoy some of my favorites foods down the line. I'll just enjoy then in moderation. Take Care Kay
