Hello everybody........ First and foremost, I want to thank you all for the incredible support you gave me last week. It took me several days to come to terms with what the doctor and nutritionist said. Although, I can totally understand what they said and I can totally agree with it... it was hard really hear. I have been realized that my weight loss should slow down...three to five pounds a week after a while should be only about one to two pounds. I know that. I understand that.. But, to have a medical professional tell you... "You need to eat more. You are not allowed to exercie or work out, until I tell you." That is so contrary to what we hear from doctors...and what we see and hear in society and culture. Needless to say, I dusted myself off, picked myself up, and started all over again. I have added calories to my diet...have tried to increase the protein.. I am increasing fruit and drinking. I am still wearing leg weights (two pounds per leg)...but, I am still making progress. Needless to say, there have been some great accomplishments. I have spoken publically for the hospital, and I have been asked back to speak again. I have just found out that I am the Division 9 state winner/loser for TOPS. I have lost the most weight for my division in the state of Maryland. The other day, I went shopping and bought a pair of 36 pants without thinking (a long way from the size 56s.) I also bought a pair of 34s. They are a bit snug...but they fit!!! I have realized that I am only 7 pounds heavier then I was when I was a senior in HS in 1984. Well, it is time to get my cup of hot chocolate. Hop up on the couch with my dog, and chill for the evening. Again, I want to thank you all for the incredible support. No more lurking..time to start chatting....
