OMG I FOUND MY HOME

OK I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED THERE IS A GAY AND LESBIAN MESSAGE BOARD ,, YIPPIE!!!! OK YEA I AM A BIT OF A DORK!!! MY NAMES ASHLEIGH AND I AM IN BATON ROUGE ,LA ,, I AM ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF POST OP AND DOING GREAT ,, I HAVE LOST ABOUT 18-20pds ALREADY AND AM LOVING IT,, MY GIRLFRIEND IS WONDERFUL AND IS STARTING TO BECOME WORRIED ABOUT ME LOOSING WEIGHT , SHE THINKS I WON'T LOVE HER ANYMORE , WHICH IS SOOOOOOOOO WRONG,, I AM STRUGGLING WITH THE LIQUID DIET QUITE A BIT,, I AM ON LIQUIDS FOR 6WKS AND ITS KILLING ME!!!! BUT MY DOCTOR SAYS HE HAS SOME OF THE HIGHEST PROGRESS OF THE SURGERY,, JUST WANTED TO SAY HEY TO EVERYONE!!

Welcome, Congratulations on your early success. I wasn;t so hungry in the beginning (like I am an old pro, I am only 3 months out,) but got bored with the taste and texture of liquids. The program at the hospital I attended had a strict program, but it was clear liquids for 2 weeks after surgery, liquids for another 2 weeks, 4 weeks of pureed, and 4 weeks of soft solids before going to regular food. The time goes quickly, and if you don't get complications, it is well worth the torture of a liquid diet for a few weeks! Maureen

And for your partner just let her know how much you love her and that you were not with her because of your weight but because you love her. Hi Ashleigh, Welcome to the best board in OH. This is an awesome board with lots of great people. My partner has been afraid of the same thing as yours, but I always tell her "Baby, I got the best in you. Why would I want to downgrade?" That makes her laugh and she chills for a while. I hated being on the liquid diet and the pureed diet too, but now i am on regular food and doing great. Good luck and please keep us informed! Big Hug, Rosa
