Most airlines will post, somehwere ont heir websites, the seat dimensions for their various planes. You can visit this sit, too: http://www.seatguru.com/ They have info about a lot of planes. I have also called customer services numbers to get specific information about the plane I'll be on, such as seat width and whether the arms go u*****t. Also, be sure to ask for a seat belt extender. Most airlines are nice and will give you one. They all have to give you--it's just a matter of their attitude. I flew a lot so I bought my own seat belt extender. You can search the internet to gfind a place that sells them. But they are pricey. Jen

About Disney, I went to Disney at about 400 lbs maybe more. I really did not have much trouble... Some turnstiles where too small, but they have handicapped entrances you can go thru. As far as rides, the pooh ride I had a little trouble getting into and out of the ride. On the whole, there was not much trouble for me. This website has some information for people who are not small at disney, they talk about what you need to know. http://allearsnet.com/tp/ridsiz.htm I hope this helps Take care Erin

Hi Jeanette, I went to Disney World in 2003 when I weighed almost 300 lbs. The flight was fine, I just needed a seat belt extender. We flew South West. The seats had arms that went up so it wasn't too bad. Disney is indeed the most wonderful place in the world. They really try to accommodate all their guests. I didn't have any problems getting on the rides in the sense that I fit, but getting in and out was difficult. The most difficult part was the walking. I wish I had gotten a scooter. I think I would have enjoyed myself much more. The year before last we went to Bush Gardens and I rented one, and really had a much better time. So you may want to consider doing that. Most importantly, have a wonderful time, and say "hi" to Goofy for me!!! Hugs, Rosa

From about the time I weighed 300# I was required to purchase 2 seats on every airline I flew. Most embarrassing, but I flew none the less. I also went to Disneyland at about that size and the rides with the arms, like the flying Dumbo, would not lift, and some rides' saftey bars would not latch, or latched very uncomforatbly. Maureen

Hi Jeanette , Just ask for a seat belt extension when you get on the plane. It will allow you enough room to move and to breathe. Also, I wouldn't try flying Southwest Air. They have been known to make people buy two seats and they stick by their policy pretty closely. I have boycotted them since they started this policy even after I lost the weight. I used to use them all the time, but I wont do it any more. I also used to get an aisle seat. I found they had more room for me to move and gave me enough room that I could lean that way a little to avoid crowding the person in the seat next to me. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip! Amy

Hey There, Just kinda seconding all the notes already. I flew to Hawaii almost two years ago. I was probably 400 lbs. I just asked for an seat belt extention while I was loading. I tried to be one of the last ones on and tried to get a aisle seat each time. On the way out, no problem. The fist flight I was next to a very rude woman who I could tell was upset with having to set next to me, but the steward was a great guy and tactfully offered me a seat in row with no one in it. (Membership has its priviledge.)So I gladly moved. Some one came up about halfway through the flight and asked if I minded sharing as they were in a crowded row to. So we still had a seat between us. On the second flight luckly got a seat on the aisle with no one between me and the window seat. On the way back. First flight I had a window seat, but sat next to a four year old who was very well behaved and it was a red eye and he fell asleep so no problem. His dad was just relieved to have someone who was cool being next to a child. Last leg sat in a crowded row, but the guy was cool next to me and was not rude about space issues. I am amazed at the variety of quaility on flights. This was United and some of the seats arms went up, some did not, some seemed broken down. I was kinda appalled at that. I guess it just goes to show the state of the industry today. And in Hawaii you see all sorts of shapes and sizes. So that was nice. I was not always the largest guy in a gathering! Have fun!
