So lovers, what you doing for your special one this year? Is there a tradition that the two of you share on V-day or do you keep it spontaneous and do something different each year? Do you not even celebrate it at all? This will be our first valentines day together for my girlfriend and I. It's been YEARS since she's been involved in a relationship and she's come to HATE valentines day.......so this year I wanted to make it very very special. I "stole" her diamond pendant and took it to the jewelers to have it spruced up and chain replaced. I also purchased a pretty nice ring for her (couldn't resist). Flower order is locked and ready to go.....upon arrival home she'll be greeted with a card, her favorite caramels, some perfume, and dinner and candles.....and whatever else I dream up So lads & lassies, what'll it be next Tuesday?! Do tell!! Violet

Violet, It sounds like you have everything all worked out. I have been with g/f for what seems like forever. She is not the romantic type by any means. So, I am sure that valentines day will just be another day for us. But, please let us know how things go with you and yours. Melissa

Every year my partner and I do something special for Valentines Day. This year, however, we are finacially limited because I have been unable to work since my surgery. I hope to start back on Monday. This year we will probably exchange cards and express our love in other ways . You know, it really doesn't matter to me. She showed me how much she loves me during my surgery and recovery, and that means so much more than flowers or a gift. Everyday our love grows stronger and stronger. That is the blessing that Valentines Day represents for me. Have a wonderful Valentines Day! Big Hugs, Rosa

This year we are going to the seminar for wls for my partner, but we did go out to a nice dinner last night and said Happy Valentines Day and then went to buy clothes. I am not down in clothes size, but I got 2 pair of pants and 3 shirts in a much smaller size for $2 a piece. It was nice the sales lady kept pulling sale items up and saying this will be $2 and soon it will fit you lol. How could I resist? Take care Erin

I hate V-Day, everything about it sucks, and I will be glad when it is over! I shall immerse myself in the Olympics! Maureen (Generally cheerier than that^^^)

AWWW MAUREEN!!! Exactly one year ago my girlfriend was saying the same thing. This year I'm out to show her something different! I hope by next year, or heck even tomorrow, someone will come along and change your mind Warmly, Violet
