So, I found out on 1/27/2006 my info had been submitted to insurance. When I went in for my initial consult my nurse had informed me that my insurance was one of the easiest and quickest to approve - usually in about 5 days. Well, I checked last Friday ... nothing. I checked Monday....nothing. I checked this morning....nothing. I can't schedule a meeting w/surgeon until I have approval. I started the process on November 1st. I'm getting antsy already here! I feel like I am checking for approval far too often and I should just let it be. I know they have 14 working days from receipt to review. I already checked this morning and I want to check this afternoon again. How often did ya'll check? I feel like I'm going buggy!

Never mind! Just found out about 45 minutes ago that I was approved! I couldn't wait any longer to call so I called and checked for the second time today! So, hopefully I'll be laying on that table sometime soon!

WHOOO HOOOOO doin the Approval Dance for ya!!! I am currently struggling with how often to bug the insurance company. I've kept it to two days a week so far but I can see how that will have to increase as the weeks go by!! Congratulations on the approval and keep us updated with a date and all!! smiles, Violet

Jen, I am so excited for you. When I was waiting to hear about my approval I swear I checked the Anthem website at least three to four times a day. If not more. I was told it would be online before I would hear back from Anthem, and it was. So, now you make the consult appt?? I truly hope everything continues to go well for you. You are going to be on the loosing side soon. Huggs Melissa

Thanks so much! Yeah, my program is a little different. I don't see the surgeon until right before the surgery. Prior to that another general md and nurse clinician handle everything so the surgeons can concentrate on doing their best with surgery. I've done all the pre-reqs and they submitted to insurance so now I basically wait for a date. Woohoo!!
