do you ever cheat?
For all you post ops....
have you ever had the urge to sneak and take a sip of coke after surgery, or eat a bite of candy, or had some sort of food that your dietician would be angry over?????
here goes my dirty little secret....the other day I had a fruit rollup that was only 7g of sugar and it was sooooooooooooooo good!
and a week ago...i had a few bites of a big mac....and I was on cloud 9...
anyone else cheat????

I have a sip of Coke and an occasional Hershey's kiss. I am very careful not to "cheat" too often. My doctor said that if you deprive yourself of too much you will be in misery. So an occasional cheat is not that big of a deal to me. I am still losing weight, and enjoying my new life.
At my last check-up the nurse said to me "Don't tell the doctor I said this, but you can have alcohol in moderation. Just be careful"
Its all about moderation.

Why make yourself go crazy...so you can really cheat later on and blow this?? Naah...take a sip, have a bite...in moderation. Satisfy your curiosity.
Personally, when it's that ...ehem...time of the month (sorry guys) a couple of pieces of Hershey sugar free special dark does the trick.
I tried a sip of coke...it grossed me out. Way too sweet. Some stuff just does not taste good anymore.
Take care and have fun!

Ok, so I am also going to air my dirt. On Saturday I bought a 16oz caffine free diet coke. All day I worked on making it go flat. And finally on Sunday it was flat enough to drink. Oh my it tasted so good. I also had a few doritos on Saturday with some hamburger, chese, sour cream, and salsa. I have not tried candy, or anything with alot of sugar. I am too afraid it will make me sick. I did have some white cheddar cheese popcorn last night for snack. It was good.

Yes, i think you HAVE to cheat if you're going to live the rest of your life!
I DO have a diet coke when i want it~ it has no calories.
I DO have a piece of CAKE, yes, real sugar~ Betty Crocker cake, but i figure those CALORIES into my daily limit!
Bottom line, regardless of what you do, once your honeymoon period is over, you will need to count your calories, or some other "old fashioned" techinique to maintain your weightloss!
