Hello, it's been a long time
Hi Family,
Well, Maureen emailed me to let me know that I have been bad and need to check in. Sorry!!! It has been a difficult period for me. I was going to have the RNY and changed my mind and decided to leave my husband instead. I got an apartment and was set to move in and did in fact move in. However, they had painted the place the very same day and installed new carpeting the day before. The fumes were overwhelming when we moved in and I got sick from it. I panicked (literally) and cancelled the lease and moved all the stuff back to the house. The following 5 days were a blur of anxiety and popping Xanax and crying my heart out. So now I am feeling better (thank you Zoloft) but I am back to square one, just about $1000 poorer. To top it off, one month prior to the move, I was on Match.com and met this guy (yes, a guy) that I began communicating with and eventually fell head over heels in love with. We had a lot in common. Anyway, since I am living with my husband again, this ethical man I am crazy about says we can no longer see each other BUT we can be friends. I must be crazy. So, Maureen, are you sorry you asked?????
Love,
Carol
OMG Carol,
What an ordeal! I am not sorry I asked, it sounds like you need some friends. So, you are back with your husband, is it like a roommate situation? Are you still getting divorced? So the new man was ok with dating you while you were still married, but not living with your husband?
It sounds like there is a lot of emotional stress, how are you dealing?
Maureen
Hey Maureen,
He was ok with dating me as long as he knew that I was going out the door soon. When I moved back in I guess he saw that as a sign that I was not ready for a new relationship (smart guy). I frankly do not know what I am doing. I am in therapy to find out why I am sabotaging myself and putting my husband's welfare before mine. As far as how I am dealing...Zoloft is an excellent drug.
Love,
Carol
