Hey everyone I have not been on in a few days. My life has been very stressful. Somone stole my checkcard and charged about 600 dollars worth of merchandise to it. I am so very upset, as we sometimes live paycheck to paycheck. The good thing about it, is that we had just finished buying my daughters Christimas gifts. The bad thing, I had not had a chance to send out checks for the bills. I am only glad that we found it when we did. My question does anyone have a complete list of vitamins that we need to take after surgrey?? I want to make sure I have a complete list of everything. I thought I had my stuff together, but then so much has been gonig on. Thanks, Melissa

Hi Melissa, Sorry to hear about your checkbook. What a horrible thing to have happen. As for vitamins, every surgeon is different. Mine asked me to take Centrum chewables. It was the adult multi-vitamin with Iron. I also had to take tums for the calcium but after a few months switched to Calcium Citrate. I also have to take an iron supliment (it is the gentle iron formula). The other vitman is B-12 sublingual. I found it at walmart (it is nasty stuff but a must unless you take the monthy shots.) Chip

Chip, I have the tums and the chewable vitamins, but often times I hear or read about other things. I was just wondering. I do have the iron supliment, and I will look for the vitman b-12 sublingual. I would just like for everything I need to be at home when I get back. Thanks, Melissa

hi melissa-- i am so sorry to hear that your check card got stolen! I hope that you have a better holiday season after this... i take: 2 centrium chewables per day 2 tums extras per day 1 FESO4 (Iron) vitamin 1 B-12 (sublingual) (vitamin once a week) but my dietician tells me that i can take it more than once a week for energy. But check with your surgeons office before doing this because everyone has different rules. *when you are 2 months out you can switch from the centrium chewables to multi-vitamin that you can swallow but you must break in half. *when you are 3 months out you can switch from tums extras to citrate. good luck with all that you wish and I hope you have a happy holidays!!!! Nessy, Thank you as well. Its so wierd how all the docs do the same or just about the same types of surgery, but suggest different things to take. I find that very amazing. Melissa
