Cam is home!
Hello all,
I just got home and boy am I tired. I had one little scare when I did my first barium test and it wouldn't leave my new pouch. However I think it was because my surgery was delayed till 11 am and the barium test was the next morning at 6... not even a full 24 hours. They were going to drain my puch with a tube through the nose but When I went down to have that done I told the guy "Why don't you check just once more for me. Save you and me the hassell of trying to get that tube down my nose." he did and the xray showed no barium. We did another test and it passed with no problem. So I turned to him and said, "Thank you so much. Will you call upstairs and tell the nurses I want my apple juice waiting on me please...lol.
Anyway thank you for all your loving prayers, good thoughts and support. I really appreciate it. I can't believe it is finally done! I am tired so I am going to go lay down, but I just couldn't not share this news with my "OH Family."
Cheers
Cam
Hey Daniel,
Actually I had my surgery before noon on Thursday and was home by six pm on Saturday. It felt like a lot longer, lol... But just over two days. Now the tough part. Sipping all this bloody water and protien drinks. lol
Clear liquids for a whole week... I am counting the days until I can have milk.
