My baby went in October 13 which was last thursday and got to be released yesterday. We were so happy she got to be released so soon! When they pulled her drain out she said it wasn't that painful, but all through the night she has been in pain! She has taken the liquid pain medicine they prescribed for her but every 4 hours it wears off and she wakes up with terrible pain in her side! She has had no problem with keeping her food down at all which is wonderful! When she was released yesterday, they gave her these white really tight stockings to wear on her legs and man, are they tight!!! So, when I take them off of her, she has marks on her legs from the circulation getting cut off! They say she is only allowed to have them off for 30 minutes a day which is not alot! They gave her a binder to wear for when she walks, but it is way too small so today, we are going to search all the hospitals for one that fits because she needs that! I feel so bad that she is in so much pain, I just simply can' t imagine what she is going through! She has been getting slight headaches but we're not sure if she can take Tylenol yet? I know that her surgery was a success with no complications because I prayed every chance I could and I know god was there with her. Our friend Chris, me and my baby all said the our father prayer before she went in and her surgery went great!!! The doctor said her Liver was really healthy and she had great skin and everything so I was relieved to hear that. To tell everyone the truth, I can't believe my gurl went through with it, I know I couldn't have, I am a big CHICKEN!!! But she was so brave and so strong, now I know she can do anything if she puts her mind to it. If anyone else remembers having side pain where the drain is pulled or headaches let me know, because i am really concerned! Well just wanted to update and keep everyone posted! My page has more if you are up to reading it!!! Until next time, keep her in your prayers for a quick, speedy recovery! ----B

I am glad to hear that she is doing well. I didn't have a drain, nor did I have to wear a binder. As for the booties or compression socks, I had mine taken off while I was in the hospital the second night. Different docs do things differently! I just posted to Chad some meds we can't have. I hope she feels better soon. Now go take care of yourself. You deserve it.

Here is an update on my partners surgery!!! She has been out since October 13th and she weighed in at the doctors office 2 weeks ago............She was 345lbs. on surgery day and weighed in after 1 month at 303lbs.................I am so happy for her.........Everything has been going great for her but she is still having nausea! I have been taking the best care of her and she keeps telling me she doesn't know what she'd do without me here!!! I love her so much and I continue to smile everytime I see her lose another pound because I know how happy she is!!! I am sorry it took so long to update, its just we have been so busy. Her surgery was a success and her road to happiness has just begun! ----Brittany
