How long did it take your insurance co..............................

When your request for surgery was made how long did it take for word yea or nay from your insurance co ? I just submitted a request to my PCP for referral for a DS. I figure I'll get denied but wonder how long it usually takes. Thanks all ! Precious

I knew about two weeks after it was submitted. The approval came Thursday and I had my surgery on Monday of the following week. Chip

My dr's office submitted on Tuesday, I called on Thursday to verify that they received the request, and found out that I had been approved on Wednesday. So it took one day to be approved from when the surgeon sent in the request.

Weeks and weeks only to be denied. After an appeal I was approved. Total time 6 months
