advise needed

Hello all!! needed!! I am pre op, and was hoping for some advise here..I am thinking of making a lil notebook w/ words of wisdom from OH..I was wondering if you all can post a quick comment/suggestion/recipe to all the preops that may help them in the future, whether before surgery, right after, or months out... thanks so much for your anticipated advise...guess i better get my pen ready!!

Hi Dawn, Something I wish I had done: Start Protein drinks and trying to get it all in BEFORE surgery. I know I would be in better shape right now if I had. Have a nice night. Danielle

I wished I hadn't eaten every meal like it was your last prior to my surgery. You CAN eat again, most everything, I've found, but just in smaller portions.

My saving grace protien drink (can't stand most of them): 1 cup Tropicana 1/2 the sugar OJ 1 small banana 1 container 4 oz carb countdown vanilla cream yogurt (or any flavor) 2 scoops Unjury vanilla protien powder 5-8 ice cubes Put it all in a blender and liquify. It makes almost 32 oz of liquid (yeah) it is 380 calories (this is the only way I can come close to getting my calories in a day) and it is 47 gr of protien! Just fill up a glass and sip sip sip. It tastes really good!! Also remember that the pureed stage feels like a lifetime but it does end!! Good luck Dawn!!
