Help job offer in germany
Hello family this week I sent my resume out to many different companies, and the only response that I have recieved was from the company that I thought would never call it is for a position in Germany, the pay is good and they will pay for a total relocation packgage, pay for our housing, and the tour is for 3 years, tell me what you think, the only person I have to be concered about is my mom and when I told he she stated she was packing, and so did my partner, so I need your thougts, it's a great opportunity, I don't have to stay in Germany for the three years there is a chance I can be station in Japan, after my first year, no taxes are taken out of my salary, full health benefits, and 401k plan, discounts with travel and some other perks, no I'm not in the military, it's a position as a therapist working with children of military personnel. Don't worry I will be back for the Chicago Meet and Greet and any other time that I can come to the states, thats if they decide to offer,me the job, when I spoke to the was extremley impressed with my resume'
So family let me hear your thoughts
Thanks

Wow Joi! How exciting. And to think, I ALMOST didn't accept my current job because I had to go to California for 2 weeks for training
Personally, I can't imagine living in a foreign country......but then, I get uncomfortable going more than an hour away from home overnight so I'm probably not the best person to ask. But I did want to tell you how excited I am for you. Good luck!!

Congratulations!! How very exciting! It sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity!! I am a social worker (I work with multisystem multineed kids) but only at a B.A. level. If you see any positions open for a bachelor's level let me know!! My ex was stationed in Germany for a year and loved it! She saw so much and did so many things! She also talked about how much more of an accepting community it is!!
Best of luck!!

Joi,
My first reaction is "DO IT"!!!!
If the opportunity is amazing, and your mom and partner will go, I cannot think of a better thing. Not only professionally, but personally also, you'd have all of Europe open to you for a song!!!!
Do not let fear guide your decision, it sounds like a wonderful chance to explore....and get lots of foreign nookie with your partner....(mmmmm...its always better on that side of the pond!!!)(Bloni would go, just for that!!!)
Maureen
Thanks Maureen, I have my second clinical interview next Tuesday, so I'm naming and claiming this job, it is a change and I have nothing to fear, but fear it self. My partner may not be able to come right awaymaybe in 2 or 3 months we have to work out something with her family to care for her mom who lives with us. My Mom has decided to saty in the states and come to Germany for the summers which is fine with me.
Thanks everyone for all your support , I hope you will be there when I'm having lonley nights in Germany, so you know the first thing I'm packing is my computer.
