OH Event Palm Springs, CA

Hello all. Janine, Leonard and I are busy planning an OH event for Palm Springs, CA the weekend of January 7-9, 2005. Monica Ganz is also working with us. Palm Springs has an amazing glbt community - almost 50% of the population. We're looking at a social Friday night (maybe a ****tail party-mixer) a choice on Saturday of educational and/or social, dance Saturday night, and social on Sunday. We're working on a newer higher end hotel (@$130/night) and a nice, lower end hotel (about $70/night.) Palm Springs has much to offer - hiking, golfing, sight-seeing (desert, celebrity homes, etc) beautiful winter weather and lovely mountain views, etc. World class shopping. Casinos. Lots of fun. Plus - a wonderful opportunity to get to know some really wonderful OH people. Please let us know if this intrigues you as we are trying to get some idea of numbers. Yep, I'm in this area. I would love to attend. Is there going to be a charge for the dance. I would not need to stay in a hotel, I'd just go home or stay with a friend who lives out there.
