Hi, I'm Steve from MA. I'm scheduled for laproscopic lap band surgery 8/24. I'm glad there's a community like this. Has anyone had laproscopic lap band surgery? How big are the incisions used to insert the lap band? What was the first couple of days like with regard to pain and mobility?

hello steve sorry i can't answer your question. i just wanted to letter you know that you are one of the lucky ones, to have a date for wls. i was denied with my insurance company but my partner and i will be fighting them all the way. good luck with your surgury.

Hi Sherry, Thanks, I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I was very surprised myself that my health plan approved me. Because I thought I never would qualify, I never asked. It was only when a friend with the same health plan told me of his being approved that I decided to try myself. I guess a diagnosis of severe sleep apnea at the time I was seeking approval probably helped too. Don't give up, keep trying! Steve
