Waiting to hear from Shane Lee...
no problem! I got home from the hospital this afternoon. I am doing fine, just a bit sore. I am so glad to be home becuase you know you never get any rest in the hospital. I came in and covered up on the sofa with my blanket and went right to sleep. My bed is going to be even better tonight.
The docs say I did great on full liquid and modified liquids so they saw no reason to keep me there. Man is it hard to eat! I am nowhere near being hungry.
Well I am back to bed for a little while.
Shane,
I am so glad you are home and the surgery went well. Please keep me posted. In your opinion do you think I could have the surgery(and if nothing goes wrong) feel well enough to take a trip away from home about three weeks from the surgery date??? I guess you will have a better answer to that in two weeks or so...Post me if you feel up to it---Strength and Love from New Orleans----Kiersten
Glad you made it out alright. The first few days seem a little rough, but every day gets better. My doctor required clear liquids for a week, then added non-clear liquids for a week. It was like a month before you were eating anything with substance. I of course did not follow that plan for long. As I felt better, I "promoted" myself to the next stage. My doctor is located 90 miles from where I live. I remember taking the trip one week out (to have my drain removed) which wasn't so bad, but keep in mind that EVERYONE is different, so everyone will react different. I'm sorry Shane, but I have to mention from all the other posts, how much I hate Bush. I believe he lied to the American people. Clinton did and got impeached and yet his lie didn't cause anyone to die. Where is the justice? Hope you continue to feel better. Soft Hugs.
