Hey all...
just joined this site.
Banded in 2001 (BMI at 32), again 2011....weight up and down for 10 years.
BMI now 32 again! Arrrgh....considering VSG and sponging up info!
I have no info on revision but I wish you luck!
I was peeking at your profile and was wondering:
Did you and your wife adopt your kids, get donors, or from previous relationships?
What kind of kayaking do you do? I was just thinking today about how much I would like my wife and I to kayak after I lose some weight.
It is easy to forget that people on here are from all over the globe, very neat to think you are all the way across the globe!

Hey Tia,
We just bought our family two kayaks for Xmas...they are the sit on top ones so our 9 year old twins can use them and they are very stable. They are able to be used on the sea (if its not rough) but we camp beside a lake so they will be used there mostly. They are good for beginners too. I am not the adventure, crazy sea kayak type type girl however my partner is. heres a link to the ones we got. Forget about waiting until losing weight and get kayaking now...they are great fun and dont require a massive amount of effort. They can take a high weight limit too!

We have both been married previously - I have three children girl 26, boy 24 and girl 16. Partner has twin girls 9. We did consider having a child together with a donor but we both felt we already had an amazing family and were happy although it is tempting sometimes (especially as I am a midwife and I LOVED being pregnant - I get that crazy clucky thing sometimes)
My partner is amazing....she is whippet slim - athletic and active and totally supportive of my having any surgery but is scared of complications. I go through so many emotions feeling that I dont deserve her and wonder why she loves me but at the end of the day I accept that she does and my lovability is not related to my weight.
Are you considering making some babies?
Get on a kayak...they are fun!
Welcome!
My wife and I had bands about 5 years ago. Hers still works well, but mine never did. had a revision to RNY about a year ago. I had a lot of complications but now am doing well and very happy with the decision.
We go on cruises with Olivia travel (they book the whole ship and provide lesbian entertainers)and jsut got back from Tahiti. They've been to Australia twice but I was too heavy to go, hopefully in the next couple of years they'll go again.
Welcome,
Connie

I have heard of Olivia cruises - they look fun although I am rather intimidated by alot of gay women on one ship for some reason. Are they fun? I havent been to Tahiti but have been to the Cook Islands 3 times which are the group of Islands next door. Amazing place isnt it thr South Pacific. We have travelled there extensively and plan famly holidayds every year or so. Its so safe and clean.
Why would you be too heavy to go to Australia? We live in the little Island at the bottom of Australia on the south east coast. Its beautiful...clean, green, mountanous with amazing beaches. A little insular but we are the first Australian state to propose a bill to change the same sex marriage legislation (whi*****identally wasnt passed) but we are expecting it to somewhere in Australia in the next couple of years. We plan to marry Feb next year either way (we have a recognised same sex reltionship deed).
I use to live in the US in Atlanta...loved it...was SO different to Australia...Are you in Illinois?
