New to Board
Hey there, thought I would post to this board. I was banded April 2009 and now looking to be revised to a sleeve. lost about 75lbs with the band, had the port replaced once, and haven't been the same since. I am hoping revision is approved, I would like to lose another 50lbs yet. Good luck to everyone!

Welcome HondaRN12!
Congratulations on the 75lb weightloss, that is a terrific accomplishment. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your approval on the revision. I have seen a lot of posts on OH from band to sleeve patients and all seem to be very happy with the change. I'm sure you will be too.
This board can be kinda slow but, many of us are determined to breathe new life into it. So, come on over to the GLBT board. You will not find better more supportive people anywhere. We are glad to see you here.

Morning all! Been on here for a while, but usually a stalker rather than a poster. I am 20+ months post op from RNY (no revision) and also live in MN. I am north of Minneapolis in Champlin.
I had surgery in Dec 2010. Lost approx 160 lbs (from my highest) and have maintained a weight of 195-205 for over a year now. For me, for my health, and for my kids, it was the best decision I ever made. For my relationship, it was likely a contributing factor to the break-up I am currently going through with my partner of 14+ years.
I try to stay active - work out 3-5 times a week (mostly cardio) and actually have started running. I can't believe it when I say I am able to run 7-10 miles without too much of an issue!
Bets of luck with your revision!
