The waiting game
I have selected Centennial Hospital in Nashville for my surgery. I have selected Dr. Hugh Houston to perform my VSG.
I have battled between my insurance company and Centennial trying to get them to communicate with one another on exactly how my plan works and all those fun details. This, by the way, was much tougher than it should have been. Centennials insurance specialists need WAY more training and experience...and manners.
Then my doc's office was being extra slow in getting my records to Centennial so, three follow up calls there.
Today...it all came together and my predetermination has been submitted to my insurance. And now...the waiting game.
Hi
When I had the band surgery my insurance required a six month supervised diet. My doc came in the office to see me the day she returned from vacation so that I wouldn't miss that month and have to start over because of one day. Thank goodness for her kindness! This time when I had the revision I'm old enough to be on Medicare and it only took three weeks to get the surgery scheduled!
The waiting is really annoying but for most people it's just part of the journey.

It is the most frustrating thing trying to get everything approved and signed. I ended up taking xanax because the whole process was driving me crazy. Anxiety and I are not strangers, but that was a special case.
Hope to meet you at group one night! I often take my husband if hes off work.
