Keep posting
Four years ago when I finally found this forum we all seemed to post almost every day. Now it's been kind of slow. So I'm encouraging you all as well as myself to post more often. I am on the Illinois board daily so it's mot that hard to post here.
I had a revision from band to RNY in October 2011 and had a number of complications which resulted in a long recovery. I need to start an exercise program now that I am better and so I'm making a commitment to post here about walking more. My partner suggested that I start walking more by going to the grocery store and to Lowe's or Home Depot because that's about what I can handle now. It's too HOT to walk outside and the mall is too far away but I can get started.
So I encourage each of you to commit to something and post daily about it.
Hoping to get to know all of you better!

So nice to see you posting again. I don't get here too much anymore. I remember those days 4 years ago when this joint was hopping! Anyway, I had great weekend. I attended a 4 day cycling ride and rode 240 miles! I completed my first century ride (100 miles). It was amazing. I could have never even conceived this four years ago.

I'm just over 4 weeks out and have been stalled since 3 weeks (the famous 3-week stall they talk about). Today I'm having some chest pains and feel yuck so I called the doctor and waiting for a return call. Yesterday I thought maybe something was stuck in my sleeve so I talked to the nurse and tried her tricks to getting food unstuck. It didn't work - so I'm hoping to get in today for some tests. Hoping it's nothing!
Look forward to hearing updates from others!
I was supposed to see my surgeon on Thursday for my follow-up, but he cancelled so I'm still not cleared for the gym. I need to step up my activity because I am currently stalled.
I also attended my first support group meeting this week. It was meh. I was a lot younger than everyone else there, and most of the conversation was directed towards people a lot further out than me. I saw on a local forum that there's another local group, so hopefully I can try to go to that.
