I was just wondering how you libido changes after surgery. I have heard that your sex drive signifantly increases post op. Is this true for all of you?

How did your sex drive change post op, if at all?

AND

Maybe TMI, but...

How awesome was it to be able to "do" things sexually that were impossible before.
maybe that position you were never quite able to do, and after some weight came off...ya know.

AND...

Be honest...who turned into a nympho! lmao!

I'm not shy!  I'll share!  OK... my sex life was FRICKIN AMAZING after my surgery!  My wife and I went from pretty vanilla sex pre-op (cuz I was over 300 lbs and almost everything was just so uncomfortable) to rockin' lesbo porn sex!  Woo hoo!  My libido did increase but mainly because I could do SO much more.  Life after my WLS was so much fun in the bedroom (or living room... or kitchen... or shower... or... you get the picture!)   I was getting creative and wild and it was so much fun and hawt because I could do so much more since my belly wasn't in the way anymore.

Now that I'm 6 mos preggers... it's changed a bit.  But that's a different story.

So... moral of the story... hellz yeah sex is so much better after WLS!

I don't want to venture into the "TMI" category myself, but I can say that my libido is much, much better since surgery. Makes sense to me: I look better, I feel better, thus I have more confidence in myself, and that's sexy. I have met a wonderful woman and WOW! Only problem is we don't live in the same city, so we don't see each other that often. But when we do, it's awesome. I didn't realize this when I met her (online), but she has also had WLS. She understands about our issues, and she is very accepting and open. To me, that makes it all the more exciting and satisfying. We cannot keep our hands off of each other, and it's been a long, LONG time since I felt that way.

To sum it up, pre-op: yawn. Post-op: LOTS of heavy breathing!!

Good luck to you and have fun!

I don't know about libido....I am in that weird change of life time...BUT oh yeah, the positions and what you can do are so much better. I had one gf who could pick me up and swing me around...

I would agree with the poster who said when your confidence is better it helps, but some post ops have body issues with skin, etc. I am 4 years out now and I am comfortable with most of me, but my thighs...working out and being in the best shape you can be in is helpful in both confidence, endurance and libido...

As a more mature person (am I the only one here??) I have a lesbian gyne and she is helpful with things like estrogen cream and moisturizers (instead of lube) ....enjoy, enjoy....(but be safe)
