do you visit the unmoderated R&R Board?

I was wondering if you visit this board? I find it interesting and enlightening to some of the issues that are effecting this site. I want to see this site become the open and welcoming community it was when I was a huge "poster" for '06 though "08. Having to go through a revision, I am a little suprised at how OH has changed. In someways I feel OH's "soul" has been damaged. I feel it is part due to members actions. I am also afraid it is due to OH's restritive "moderating " and editing of what is discussed on the boards. Thank You for any input.
What is the unmoderated R&R board? I really only visit this board, but really spent a lot of time in the RNY board before and right after surgery. It was really helpful.
I've only had one message moderated and it was when I was going my dissertation research, which I could understand. However, with other messages it gets close to censorship which is a tricky road to travel. When to start/stop, etc. I don't have a good sense though since I'm so rarely anywhere else on the boards now, but hope you get the support you need somewhere.
Hugs,
Danny

Sean,
I have only been there a few times. I think OH is no different than the fate of many message boards. I seethe same thing in technology discussion lists. People use it less and use more active social networking channels like Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs and Facebook. I personally believe that a message board offers a more targeted (and private) discussion that WLS topics deserve.
Now, if there were an OH app, that would give it a rebirth. I guess I am saying that people are used to using the iPhoine or other mobile device to network. I also think in terms of this forum, it happens to be the mix of people at a given point in time that define the board. Back in 207-2009 there were so many active chatters on this board daily that kept it lively.

I agree, Tom. I joined OH prior to my lap band surgery in early 2009 and when I came back a few months ago as I was preparing for my revision, the atmosphere had changed a lot. I haven't gotten involved in any of the schtuff that was/is going on, nor do I want to. I come here for information and support and anything beyond that is something I just have no interest in getting involved it. It does make me a bit sad that there was so much negativity going on that a lot of people left. I stopped going to the revision forem because people were almost militant about which surgery I (or anyone else considering revision) should have. I didn't appreciate feeling like I was stupid for choosing the surgery I did.
But I continue to come here because I am getting a lot from it and that's what matters the most!
