February Goals
I have come up with the idea that I should re-assess my goals on a monthly basis based on lifestyle needs, and since tomorrow is Feb. 1st.......its time to start and stay on track. Thought if I put my goals "out there", I will be more apt to stick with them.
Goal #1 - Walk 20-30 min. 4x's a week
Goal #2 - Begin tanning.....summer is just around the corner.....3x's a week...I know....not a healthy goal but will make me feel better about myself and I really need to boost my self-esteem.
Goal #3 - Be More Social....I have become a hermit. I will look for a gym, social club, dance class.....something....anything in effort to meet people.
Anyone else setting goals?

Danni, you amaze me! Girl, if you were single and living in Atlanta I'd be following you around like a puppy. Your achievements are awesome. I can't even imagine doing CrossFit right now, I've heard it is super tough. I'm sure you'll be at your goal weight very shortly! Keep up the good work and thanks for being such an inspiration to the rest of us.

Aww Thanks Becky! You are too kind.
Actually anyone can do CrossFit, that's the great thing about it- it's totally customizable. They can adapt anything for you. You just have to "Ovary-up" and admit that there are certain things you're not able to do YET, but you are working towards that goal of completing them.
There are MANY things in CrossFit that I can't do all the way, but I'm out there bustin' my butt and to me that's true success.
I love the quote, "If you think you can, you can- if you think you can't, you're right"

I started working on goals (and "New Me Resolutions") even before I had my surgery. Fitness is a big thing for me right now, and my first goal is to complete the Peachtree Road Race here in Atlanta. It's a 10K (6.2 mile) road race held every July 4th. Trust me, you haven't lived until you've run six-plus miles on a hot, humid July morning in Georgia! After that I am considering a sprint distance triathlon either in the fall or next spring. And I agree w/ you about the tanning, not the most healthy thing to do but I love having a bit of color in the summertime (especially now that I am losing weight!).
As for the social part, that's where I get a little more skittish. I am trying to talk myself into signing up to play softball this spring, and to check out a local gay/lesbian tennis league. I fall into the hermit routine myself way too easily! But I really need some new friends at this point in my life, and they're not gonna come knock on my door by themselves. We can do it! Just take a deep breath and march on into that gym or club. Let me know how it goes, I'll be pulling for you!
