Accountability & Introduction - My first video blog!
Hey Everyone,
Part of my goal for 2012 is to be accountable and I thought I would join this WLS craze and start doing a video blog. So here is my first one... it's a bit longer than future ones will be but I wanted to tell everyone a little about myself.
Anyways, check it out if you'd like to learn more about me!

Jamie,
Jus****ched all 11+ minutes of your blog and really enjoyed it. I like your goal for becoming more accountable and have a couple of suggestions.
First, you mentioned keeping a food journal and I've found that an essential part of my weight loss life. I use myfitnesspal.com. They have a free app that works on my droid phone and makes things a lot easier to track. Most foods are already pre-programed on their site and all you have to do is adjust your portion size. It also helps you establish what your intake should be based on your goals. I make sure to check throughout the day how I'm doing on carbs, sodium, fat, etc. to keep those within the daily goal range.
A second suggestion is that you visit the Men's Forum on this site. Each Sunday they have a thread where you post your weekly weight. That has really helped keep me accountable for my weekly progress. Even now that I'm at my weight loss goal, I still track my weekly weight. I want to make sure I stay within my goal range and that I don't start adding back those pounds.
And, I've also found the Men's forum to be a great wealth of information. Weight loss for men is different than weight loss in women. The men have helped me keep things in perspective and there's not a lot of drama over there.
Looking forward to watching your future blogs.
