Wedding Story
I'm coming up on my 2 year surgery anniversary and came back to obesityhelp cause I remember nervously reading it everyday before the surgery to see peoples stories. And wanted to share mine. My life has changed in many ways since the surgery, all good!
But one thing that happened since the surgery I thought I'd share in this forum. I married my partner in our dream wedding on the boardwalk.
I never thought I would get married. I know a lot of GLBT people feel that way, but for me it had nothing to do with being gay. I just assuemd I was TOO FAT to marry. I never envisioned myself in pretty little dress, hair done marrying the person I love in front of all our friends and family.
But after the surgery, I figured if I'm brave enough to do thiat and my partner is willing to stick by me (and my whining) - I might as well marry her. So I proposed to the woman who loved me at 270 lbs, and still loves me at 135 lbs, and she said yes.
We're doing the happily ever currently! (I'm on the right)

Congratulations! Too bad ur pic in ur post didn't load. I'm sure you and your wife looked amazing at your wedding. I too got engaged and married after I lost the weight. My wife proposed to me and then we wed earlier this year in April. Now we're onto our "what's next" as we're expecting our 1st baby!
Congrats again to you on being healthy and in your wedded bliss!
Congrats on your marriage and successful weight loss journey.
