Hello my great OH family!!!!
Hello all my OH family, new and old, i just thought i'd touch base and hopefully reach someone who needs to hear all the wonderful things that this journey can and will bring into your life. My name is Joe and i had the RNY on Sept 30th 2010. Before surgery, my highest weight was a whopping 304 pounds and i was extremely unhappy and finally had my Time to make a change moment. It has been 9 months and i have lost a total of 140 pounds and have surpassed my original goal weight. This journey has brought into my life more than just weight loss. It has brought into my life LIFE. My life has been completely changed for the better becasue i am allowing it to. I am finally taking charge of my life and living the choices i want to make. The world is our oyster people we are in control of our own destiny. Dont just live life stagnant with just getting by, take control and it will change your perspective on this world. It is a proven fact that even your closest friends or family don't want you to be any more successful with anything than they are, but dont let that deteur you from moving forward and becoming the you that you've wanted to be for a very long time now. You are the only one who can decide with path is best for you, but please, please, please take that first step forward, you'll be so very glad you did.

Joe,
So great to see your post and know that you've reached your goal weight. Congrats with all your success.
Hope things are going well with your new job and challenges. I'm sure things are a whole lot better since you've taken control of your life.
I, too, have reached my goal weight and am now trying to add some tone to my now very skinny frame. That's a good problem to have. :)
Am splitting my time between a couple of states for work. Should be totally transferred to the new project on the west coast in a couple of months.
Best of luck with everything and thanks for the update.

Hello my old friend glad to hear from you. Im so very proud of you and all that you've accomplished. I am now at that point to tone, tone, tone. It's fasinating to see so much bone lol, and thankfully my hair still intact and muscle mass still there so its time to buckle down and get all ripped lol!!! I hope you have an easy transition to your new project. Have a great day my friend!!!!!

Hey, son, what who you call "old". :)
I'm so excited over the weight loss. Unlike you, my hair is not intact and the muscle mass left a while back. So, it's back to the gym to rebuild myself.
Transition is in process. Finally got a specific transfer date so I won't be splitting time between projects in different states. Hope to have my new condo refurbished by the end of August so I can start setting up my second home.
Have already found a new support group here so I should be good to go.
Take care and keep checking in,

Danny, Congratulations on becoming a loser and taking control of your life again. I hope all went well with your surgery and hope you are comfortable at home. Seeing others sharing there stories on here motivated me to help me see the end of the tunnel. Thanks for the compliments on the new mohawk, something i always wanted when i set my goal weight. Best of luck on your journey and keep us posted on your progress.
Joe,
Such a nice post! Glad to see things are still going great for you. You definitely have made a transformation. I cycled through your area last week on the Great Allegheny Passage. I had a great time.
