Craig, Danny, Poot, u out there?
Doing great. How are you doing? Back to work in full swing and feeling ok. I continue to lose which is awesome I am now down 57 LBS and I was able to put on a size 36 pair of jeans which I dont think I was able to wear since college it was awesome. Still have my feeding tube in but not using. Doc said he would remove in two weeks. Trying to figure out how to make time for exercise right now as I havent been doing much except walking around. Also trying to keep my fluids at 64oz is not always easy but I am working on it. My NUT finally put me on soft foods which was great compared to liquids so now I am trying to find a way to get all my protein in without protein shakes. Often difficult but working on it. Hope your doing well as well.
Lots of love
Craig
36 JEANS !!!! hell I am not in 38s yet...WHOOOHOOOO for U.
I will say that the excercise was something I took for granted at first and I had a bit of a realization about 3 weeks ago, I was getting weaker and could definately tell it.
So even though its hard, make sure you get something in, gaining you strength back can take a hit on your morale...I did little thing even instead of taking on trip to the dumpster I would take 3 or instead of calling someone at work I would walk to their cube.
The dreaded liquids, well all I can say is I make sure the first thing I do at work is fill up my 32/34 ounce cup from the hospital the minute I get to work and dont leave till its done. I have another one at home and do the same thing. Oh I also shot for 80 so its easier to remember because it correlates with our protein goals. Plus I drink a 16 ounce jug of skim milk with any "breakfast" that way I get 16 gs of protein with my liquid goal.
I have tried several different types of protein my favorite is ISOPURE Zero Carbs...I get 16 ounces of Milk and two scoops and hit around 65 gs or protein in one glass...POWWWWW...If you do this and still eat SOME protein during the day you will be fine. Oh one other thing I love me some vanilla greek yogurt by dannon...twice the protein in one cup like 13 or 14 gs, eating one right now..
Things are going great, remember we are here if you need anything..

thanks for checking up on me G...
i'm doing good i guess. aside from all my drama with the ex, i think i'm down 50 lbs, but won't know for sure till i go next week to my appt. i'm trying to eat right, and struggling with going to work out. can't seem to find anyone locally who would be willing to go, so we'll see what happens there. and now i really need to get some new clothes. my ex took a bunch of smaller stuff that i was able to wear, so now all i have is really big stuff that people have already commented on... so i need to check my clinic's clothing exchange to see if i can get something there, since i'm short on funds... but enough of the sob story, lol... i'm gonna make it. one day at a time if need be. thanks again for asking about me!
hugs to all,
kim "pooty"
Glad you are seeing things in a brighter light...
I was telling Danny about budget friendly new clothes, JC Pennys has great stuff on their Saturday Morning sales..Also our GoodWill stores can have some great bargains to hold you over. My docs office didnt over any clothing exchange but you might reach out to people on this site maybe get some of their stuff second had for the cost of shipping or free...Hell if you want boys clothes I might have some for ya....
I was worried about ya...just remember one day at a time... KEEEP SMILING AND KNOW YOU WILL GET THROUGH IT AND BE BETTER OFF..

It's been a little crazy around here and I haven't been online as much as usual. My advisor made a huge change to my disseration so I have an entire chapter to rewrite and reorganization of another. I have a big July 15 deadline for work that is pretty pressing. Finally, I'm prepping two stats classes I start teaching next week. I'm a little overwhelmed. Thank goodness we had a great holiday weekend. We didn't do much other than a dog show and flea market. Yeah weird pairing...and they were both in the same building no less.
I'm in this waiting pattern to hear about insurance approval, and it's making me a little crazy...or at least crazier than usual. I'm limiting myself to calling the insurance company three times per day, you know, JUST IN CASE. Yeah...I know. A little obsessive. I really think that it will be okay and will be approved without problem, but it still worries me none the less.
How are things with you? A sixty pound loss! That's so impressive.
Take care...
-Danny
Same exact way as soon as the office heard I was good to go they originally scheduled me for 2 weeks out, then came back and said lets do this in 8 days..
I SAID WHOOOHOOOOO...
So now you need to buckle down and get your work stuff in order so you have time for surgery, healing and just you time..
I am doing great my weight loss has slowed down a bit but its still coming off. "One Finger" was right I am cyclical like him...I have a week of 5 pounds then a week of 1 just have to keep believing and moving forward. After our Facebook conversation you have givin me an itch to run to Pennys while the "wife" gets her saturday morning beauty rest. Its warm here (96 today) the tops already off the Jeep its a great day for a ride before chores.
Keep in touch dont make me come knocking...
Hugs
