Reflux?

 I am 2 years post bypass surgery and have begun to experience an unpleasant taste in my mouth about 5-10 minutes after eating. No fluid, just taste. I have been chewing gum to overcome the taste which helps and the symptoms go away after maybe 10 minutes. I have tried OTC proton pump inhibitors and while they seem to help a little it still has not resolved the issue. I called the MD on my surgical team and he was unfamiliar with the symptoms and suggested that it could be reflux.

Anyone experience this?

I'm less than a year post-op and haven't heard of anyone experiencing something like this.

Have you changed brands on your vitamins lately? Is it perhaps a problem with iron absorbtion? Do you have detailed blood work drawn yearly and is there any change in that?
