Rainbow Weigh-In for Week of 01 May 11

Sorry to miss last week's weigh-in but greateful to gman for starting the post. I'll be traveling on business the next two weeks and away from the scales. Here's hoping the weight remains stable or continues to drop.

Highest Weight: 310 lbs
Surgery Weight: 300 lbs (on 08 Oct 10)
Last Week’s Weight: 197 lbs
Current Weight: 195.0 lbs

Total Loss: 115.0 lbs (from highest weight)
Total Post-Surgery Loss: 105.0 lbs
Weekly Loss: 2.0 lbs

Still dropping slowly even though I’ve started to re-adding some carbs to my diet. Had my first spoonful of pasta this week but still carefully tracking my intake and exercise. Looks like the body is going to keep adjusting until it reaches an optimum weight. My personal goal is to get to 190 lbs.

I’ve lost the equivalent of a 2-month old horse, a human head, and a rack of baby back ribs.

Haven't been around much due to the end of the semester, sick kiddos, etc.

I started off at 270.1 pounds on 12/14/2010 and was in a 3xl polo shirt and 48/50 waist jeans
As of 5/1/2011:  204.5 pounds, in an XL polo and 40 waist jeans, getting ready to go to the next smallest size of both.

Total lost since 12/14/2010:  65.6 pounds

My loss has slowed down a bit....probably b/c I cannot exercise much at all and I got caught in the carbs again.  I've been cutting them out again and am hoping to get into a water aerobics class soon.

As of my 3 month post-op appointment, I had lost a total of 18 inches off my entire body.

Leza, good to see your progress. You're still doing good and should be below 200 lbs very shortly. Planning a celebration for that??

Keep up the good work.

Thanks, One.  Yup, some friends of mine from high school wanted to throw something together for me whenever I am ready!  Not long now ;)  I'm pretty excited about that!

I cant wait to see both of you cross the finish line and live vicariously (SP) through you. I think its fantastic to see your progress and for you to be able to look back say WOW finally I have learned to control demons.

My replacement scale hasnt arrived yet so I dont have any numbers, hopefully I will get it this week. I will see if I cant dig up one at work or get to the gym. The bathroom and Deck MUST be finished in the next couple of weeks, we are having guests on memorial day..

Five laps around the track is fantastic. You're making great progress.

i haven't posted in a bit but i think that has more to do with the fact that i tend to avoid the scale!

highest weight: 343
surgery weight: 326
last week's weight: 284
current weight: 276

my doctor reprimanded me and had me lower my calories so i've been trying to make sure i'm getting 800 calories or less a day. it's hard because i hate replacing a meal with a protein shake since i get hungry but you gotta do what you gotta do!
starting weight: 343 current weight: 273 goal weight: 143

You're doing OK with your loss. Remember, you only had surgery in January - not that long ago.

As for the calories, one thing that helps me is www.myfitnesspal.com. It has most foods (including take out stuff) already in the database. Makes it real easy to track your intake.

Currently I'm on the road traveling and so I am not eating as I normally would. So, when I have a business lunch, I make sure to add that to my diary. I then check to see my calorie and protein for the day and adjust my dinner to stay within my daily goals. I'm hoping this works since I won't be able to hit the scales for another week.

Keep up the good work and start tracking your meals. It's well worth it.
