Getting date soon

Got insurance approval and will be meeting with the surgeon on April 4 - hopefully will get a date soon! I have been working hard!

My Mom passed away last month (she had been battling cancer)  and it was very very very stressful...all the family stuff and being sad and all....I feel I handled it well...my instinct was to hit all the carbs and bad foods and drown myself in a comfort eating stupor!!!

But I tried to use my tools and did not do so bad... I really surprised myself!
Now I am hitting the gym to make sure I don't go above my pre-surgery goal weight again. The program I am in will not do the surgery even if you are one pound over! So I am aiming for 5 more ponds to be sure.........

Anyhow - just wanted to check in - :-)

Hey Xi... so sorry to hear about your mother but I am glad she is no longer suffering.  I'm sure it was hard for you.  And it sounds like you did ok and are back to being really focused on your health goals.  Congrats on your ins approval!  That's a major win.  And I'm sure with continued focus you will certainly surpass the pre-surg goal and that 5 lbs is a great idea.

Getting close!

Congrats on the insurance approval!! I know some insurance companies can be really strict and I think you're smart to make sure you're 5 lbs under the weight.

I know how hard it is losing a parent. Really throws you for an emotional loop. But, very glad you're handling it and not turning to food for comfort. Sounds like you're doing well.

Keep us posted on your upcoming date.

Sorry to hear of your mom's passing.  I'm sure she's going to still be watching over you during your journey.  I'm proud of you for not taking the easy out (eating all the junk food), It's not easy sometimes.

Congrats on the approval from the insurance.  Once you meet with the surgeon time will fly and your surgery date will be here before you know it.

Good Luck
