I’ve now lost the combined equivalent of a new born calf, an average new born baby, and a dozen Krispy Kreme glazed donuts. (I do miss the donuts.)
I had a couple of great non-surgical victories (NSV) this week. My clothes have been literally falling off me and I had to get some shirts and levis. I’ve now gone from a 3X-Tall shirt to a L-Tall and my waist has shrunk from 48 inches to 36". (Actually the 36" pants are a little tight but they do fit.)
I’m currently at my personal goal size for my waist. But, I still have 10 -20 lbs to take off since I still have a little stomach overhang and the dreaded love handles.
Surgery weight 284
Current weight 197
Goal weight 175
Feeling great, lots of energy that I've never had before. Went back out to the local state park with my kids and nephews and niece, What a great day. Down to a 33 waist and a L or XL shirt. I'm not sure what my real goal weight will be but hope to get under at least 165 to compensate for the dreaded gain back. Congrats on yours and everyone's great successes!!!
At any rate, this morning is 218.3 and I can now wear my 40 inch waist cargo pants from Gap that I bought when my daughters were only 5 months old!! Tee-shirt size is now officially an XL down from a 2-3XL. My pants size before surgery was 48/50 and those were getting tight!

Total Loss: 71.7 (since Aug 2010)
Total Post-Surgery Loss: 40.5 (since Nov 23, 2010)
Weekly average: 2.89 lbs per week since surgery, 1.89 lbs per week prior to surgery
I feel great and have plenty of energy, no problems or complications to report. I have not had joint pain or acid reflux since starting pre-op preperations and diet in August. I'm down 4 sizes on top and 5 sizes on the bottom. I walk 3-7 miles 4x per week without feeling tired or out of breath. I'm on the verge of starting to jog. I can see my bones and shoes! I can cross my legs!
I've had a few lengthy stalls which were discouraging, but otherwise I'm very happy with the progress and results.
Congrats to you and everyone here on your diligence and great progress!!! Keep up the great work!!!

the nurse at my surgeon's office mentioned i was losing slowly and that it was okay but everyone around me seems to see a difference and i'm beginning to swim in my work pants so i don't mind! and i started the gym this week so i'm sure it's going to help things along too

Great progress!! That brings us up to a new total collective total of 562 lbs lost.
You may be losing weigh slower than others but I think there is an advantage to that. I believe it gives your body more time to made skin adjustments. My weight loss has been slower than others but I have very little excess skin.
