Just wanted to throw in plug for the great vibe of kindness and support on this site. Love my queer WLS family. Some really ugly stuff brewing on the lap band site as folks from other forums show up and say the crappiest stuff. Sad and yucky to me so I just love coming here and soaking in such positive energy. Like a little queer island in the storm!!

Jill, I'm not one for a lot of drama. Very glad there's not a lot of sh**t being slung here.

This has been a wonderful and supportive place. And, I just don't understand the surgery controversary. People have their own docs and make their own decisions. Who am I to second guess that decision??

I'm with you. So much to need support around as we deal with pre and post op challenges and what changes mean to us etc.. had no idea so much dyke drama would be goin on over there on the mostly straight boards. LOL

I also know that alot of folks visit this site and are too shy to introduce themselves so I always want to see us represent for them too and make it a good place to be. No matter what surgery or stage of the game... strong and on track or struggling.  Love this forum.

Jill, This has always been a supportive group in the 3 years I've been chatting here. I don't quite understand why people have issues with other folks WLS decisions. My observation that surgery selection is a personal choice driven by personal preferences, fears, goals, strategies, life experience and other factors. You find the surgery that is right for you. What matters is the end result and changes that happen. -- Tom

I actually stopped coming on this website all together for awhile. The drama and fighting was getting way out of hand. This site should be a place for support, no matter what surgery we choose!

This little forum here has always been a fun and really supportive place to come to....

I agree.  Some forums on this site have gotten really out of hand.  I LOVE our family forum here and I'm also on the Pregnancy after WLS forum as we're trying to have a baby now that I'm a healthy camper.  These 2 forums are loaded with loving supportive people.

OK... now everyone sing along with me...
