Leaving in a few minutes for surgery. Ok, wow! Surgery is around 7:15 this morning. Can I say that this all went by so fast. It seemed to take so long to get here but now sitting here 30 minutes away from pre-op It now feels like I am on a speeding train. And I'm talking about the super fast one the chinese have. Ha!
Well wish us luck and good luck to everyone else on their journey.

I got so excited reading your post!! LOL   Reminded me of the way I felt getting ready to go and knowing I was on the verge of something life changing. Hope you are resting comfortably and stay ahead of any discomfort with your medication. Don't be brave and try to gut it out in the first day or more... the less catch up you have to do with pain the more quickly you will recover. Congrats to you and welcome to the Loser's bench!!

Hi there , thank you for all your well wishes.
Surgery went well. No complications and hope to stay that way. Very sore feels like I did a ton of crunches. I have had a minor headache over the past few days but hoping that is just due to lack of nutrition at this point. They sent me home Friday afternoon.
I am having a bit of a trouble trying to get all my protein in. I am adding protein powder to just about everything but with the very little amount of food I am eating I feel like maybe I have gotten in 20gms today if I have been lucky.
My vitamins are a ***** to get down even though they are chewable. So sad to say I have not taken as many doses of meds as I should be.
It is difficult but hope to get over this hump soon.
Feeling a bit nauseated so Im gonna get off here but thank you for your support!

Congrats on your successful surgery and I'm glad you're home.

The soreness is very normal. But, not sure how much protein you're supposed to be taking. I was on clear liquids for almost a week after surgery and then moved to semi-liquid (cottage cheese, yogurt, etc.). I was about 2 weeks post-op before they had me trying to up my protein in-take.

Have you considered liquid vitamins? I use the liquid Wellesse Calcium with Vitamin D. Much easier than the tablets.

Remember to sip, sip, sip, and walk, walk, walk.
