My first plateau

Or perhaps I'm just being obsessive and obnoxious.  Either way, it's annoying me.  My body measurements are GREAT....(posted on blog, if you care to read up), I've lost just about 41 pounds and STOPPED there.  I'm really hoping it's just signifiying an oncoming period (sorry for anyone that thinks it's TMI...).  I've been stuck at 229.3 all week long.  It's kind of disheartening.

I'm so worried about my Achilles that I'm not exercising.  I have an order for x-rays which should be done Monday morning and the GP just gave me Voltaren gel (Voltaren is an anti-inflammatory), which my surgeon okay'ed since it's not oral or systemic.  I sure hope it helps!!!  I paid about $300 for the annual membership to the rec center and I have yet to use it!  Grrr.

Words of wisdom here?

Honey, plateaus happen.  They suck, but get used to it.  Your body is in weight shock right now.  You're less than 2 months post op and you've dropped 41 lbs.  Your body is like... "holy poop! wtf is happening here?! i'm holding onto whatever I can!"  It will let go very soon.  Keep doing the great work you're doing w/eating healthy and a fantabulous attitude.  See if you can do any type of exercise.  Can you ride a bike? do any aerobic exercise? My first several months post op I had really bad plantar fascitis in both my heels.  a 30 min walk would put me in pain for 3 days.  It was bad.  So I bought a bike and rode almost daily.  I also picked up some workout videos (love the biggest loser vids... maybe cuz I would LOVE to have Jillian work me!)  but i digress LOL

You'll be fine. Make sure you're drinking all your water and try to get some exercise in that wont agrivate your achilles.
