A Big Milestone (for me at least)

I stopped at my surgeons office this afternoon to weigh myself, and I've lost 11 lbs in the past 12 days.  I just recently joined the gym, so I guess that is paying off.  In total I've lost 82 lbs in the past 6 months, including my pre-surgery weight loss.  But the absolute best part is that I am now under 300 lbs!   I guess this is kinda gay, but I actually teared up a bit when I saw my weight on the scale.  This is the first time that I've weighed under 300 lbs since I was in high school.

I've still got a looooooong way to go, but it's so good to have a weight that starts with a 2 instead of a 3!!!!  Sorry, this post really is nothing more then me patting myself on the back.

David, you deserve a pat on the back for your success. You're doing great.

A year ago could you picture your self in a gym?? Enjoy the progress and the journey along the way.

David, Congrats. That is wonderful news.  We are all happy for you.  And, by the way, as for your quote, 'I guess this is kinda gay, but I actually teared up a bit when I saw my weight on the scale.  This is the first time that I've weighed under 300 lbs since I was in high school, '
It may be "kinda gay," but you're on the right forum for that!

And yep, I am on the right forum, and lucky for me I'm not just kinda gay.... I'm all the way gay.  LOL

I have to think that it's as tough to be "kinda gay" as it is to be "kinda pregnant."

Way to go David! And please pat that back of yours all you want. God knows with being fat and gay there were plenty of times when we felt no reasons to do that for ourselves.... you have gone from self hating to rocking it in the gym and posting here about how well you are doing. Kudos to you buddy!!

David, you are rockin' it! You should feel so proud of yourself!!! I think anybody in their right mind would shed a few tears, gay or straight, if they have been through what we have been through and then see the weight drop. You are doing great!!!
