13 mos out...checking in with a Squee!
Hi, All!
I havent been on here in a while, but I like to pop in and see how everyone is doing. It always make me feel so happy to see the GLBT group going strong! I am so impressed by so many of you and I am excited for those of you who are beginning this journey!
I am now 13 mos out, and I can't believe it! Despite pneumonia, I left the house today for an awards assembly for a student of mine who is receiving a 4 yr scholarship. I got up and got dressed and I made my wife take my pic because she always complains that I haven't documented this enough!
Well, for the first time I looked at a pic of me and thought, "damn! I am getting skinnier!" I mean, I knew I was, but I really *saw* it today. I went home and created a month by month retrospective photo layout...its crazy! I can see times I knew I was smaller because I fit in clothes I never could have, but I don't think I felt it really.
I have lost just about 150 pounds, and I can run with my son and sit down and play with him...in short, I feel great. I had some complications and I cannot WAIT to have some plastic work done, but I am so happy I did this! I meet with a PS on Tuesday!
I dont usually "toot my own horn" but I am really feeling good about this, and I thought this was the place online where I have felt the most support, so I wanted to share it here. Feel free to look at my album on here (or on FB if we are friends...or you'd like to be! I want more WLS peeps on my FB too! Its inspiring!) I wish I knew how to paste pics here, but Im not that fancy!
Thanks for listening to my midnight squee! Best of luck to all, and thanks for being a place that keeps me inspired...even when I'm just luring!
Love
Danielle
