I went to my 2 week post-op follow up and walked outta there smiling......

I have lost TWENTY pounds in 16 days!  My surgeon was thrilled!  Even bigger plus, I was taken off the oxygen...YAY!!!

We celebrated by stopping at the outlet mall and buying me a new pair of running shoes!  Normally cost $80, got them for $32 on clearance.  I love being with a shoe ***** she knows all the good deals, lol!!!

Wooo hooo! You go girl! We're running along the same drop schedule...I'm down 23 in about the same time...been here for 3 days but that's OK...I didn't really want to keep dropping as fast as I was! I want slow & steady...

I am sooo the coupon, clearance and bargain hunter myself...I've trained my personal trainer Jim, also an old friend of 25 years, so that he now gets excited when he gets a good deal...I always get the report! LOL

Fantastic, Leza!

I also dropped a lot of weight the first few weeks after surgery but then it slowed down. Over the long term, we're told to expect an average loss of 1-2 pounds per week (not per day!). The closer we get to our goal weight, the slower the pounds fall off. Don't forget, this is a new lifestyle -- not another diet.

Hmmm -- I sound like a wet blanket -- don't mean to be. Enjoy the pink cloud as long as you can. You worked hard to get here and deserve a long ride.

(((e-hugs)))

Leza, way to go!!! You're making great progress.

I've been gone for a few days (snowmobiling with the family) and have been wondering if you cooked Christmas dinner. I remember you mentioning that you were planning to do that this year. Would love to hear an update.

One,

Nope, I didn't.  I did make a loaf of banana nut bread with my new KitchenAid mixer on Xmas Day, but the girlfriend had to work on Christmas and we had a friend coming in from CA Xmas night, so we just hit a downtown diner that night.  I had soup :)
