I am sore but have the lovely PCA pump and fentynl. Been working that and the spirometer. My mourth and throat are SO dry...the swabs in ice water are great!! I have already been up and down the hallway once with physical therapy, which they tell me is not the norm!
I lost 8 pounds on the clear liquid diet pre-op!!

Welcome back!! So glad you're up and walking around - that's a very good sign.
After my surgery I felt like I had been kicked in the chest by a horse. But, within about a week even that went away.
Keep sipping and walking and be sure to get plenty of rest. This is major surgery and you're sure to feel tired for a few days.

Welcome to the other side!
The respiratory (dry throat, nose, stuffy chest) signs seem to last for 3-4 days post-anesthesia given my recent plastic surgery experience. Keep breathing deep and walking around!
Each day is a little better and then suddenly a few weeks down the line you'll notice that you are "back-to-normal" except for the new eating lifestyle!
Congratulations! Heal Fast!
