Pre-op liquid diet started
I took Deb's advice and mixed the Isopure with a little bit of room temperature beef broth while I nuked a cup of it in the microwave, then I added them together into one of my travel mugs. It does have an aftertaste, but I drank it HOT and barely noticed the taste. BUT....it did NOT curdle! So a big WIN on the unflavored Isopure in hot hot hot beef broth!
Not digging the jitters....and have 2 1/2 more days of this. I hope I can do it!!

Sounds like you're doing just fine.
Jitters are normal (and you seem very normal). It will all work out just fine. Having surgery this early in December will really help because you'll be over the worst part before Christmas.
I'm thinking of you and hoping the best on the 14th.

I stopped the diet cokes in September and coffee in October. So, I like to think I "weaned" myself off caffeine. But, I still had some headaches that I attributed to caffeine withdrawal.
Suprizingly, I'm getting used to herbal teas and they are my new morning beverage of choice.

I talked to my PCP today and it turns out the headache is something called occipital neuralgia...it is quite painful and totally unrelated to the caffiene (although that's not helping it). I have to ice my neck and take vicodin. Luckily, I'll be hopped up on all sorts of stuff tomorrow, so it should help!
