cleaning out the closet
Its official! I went through my closet this weekend and anything in a size 3x was pulled out!
I filled two garbage bags of clothes. These will be saved for a clothing exchange and then off to garage sale or donation.
I got rid of my fat jeans- the stretchy kind that accommodated my big ol' stomach, and my regular size 26 jeans.
Any of my shirts that read 26- 28 from Lane Bryant are into the bag. As i said if it was a 3x its gone, and that is including my men's shirts that were a 2x.
I've got a ways to go but its a unique feeling that i can fit into a regular XL shirt.
So this has me thinking what has made others happy to be able to toss out of the closet?

The need for new clothes is one of the most expensive and funnest side effects of the surgery. I went through four wardrobes before I stopped losing. Lucky for me, the year that I was losing (2007) Goody's and Steve & Barry's were still around. The ironic thing is that I sent all of my fat clothes to my poor relatives in the Philippines, never to see them again. Now that I live here, I get to see my relatives in ridiculously oversized clothes and have a little chuckle.
Cheers,
Chris
