I'm now 1 week post-op and have lost 20 lbs!! I'm so excited. The rings and watch are really loose and I've had to punch a new hole in the belt to hold up my baggy pants. Never thought that would happen.
Started soft foods today and I've very glad to be off the liquid diet. I'm experimenting on how to prepare my meals so they're not as bland. Any suggestions?
Thanks for all your support during this process. It's been very helpful.

My soft food diet states I can have canned meats such as tuna or chicken. Not real exciting my itself. So I decided to experiment and used my Magic Bullet blender (a must IMHO).
I put in some cottage cheese, canned chicken, and dehydrated vegetable flakes. I then blended it to a smooth consistencey. I mainly wanted to make sure the meat chunks were gone.
Wow, what a great meal. It tastes very much like chicken salad - very moist, flavorful, and easy on the pouch.
I also read someone else post the Bean and Bacon soup was one of their favorites. I tried that for lunch. But, I didn't add any water or heat it on the stove. I just scooped out 3 tablespoons on my plate and added 1 tablespoon of canned veggy's on the side.
I haven't tried any spices, salt, or pepper. As long I keep finding some of these alternatives, I'm not sure I'll need spices.
