70 pounds down and dating again!! Woo hoo!!

Hey gang. It has been way too long since I have been on here an it has been great to catch up on your osts and see how everyone is doing. I keep up with alot of you on Facebook  BUT/AND the conversation on this site is always so inspiring when it come to WLS and the joys and challenges of this life.

So I wanted to share my recent foray into dating. I hit the 5 year mark after my divorce and decided it was time to get out there. So I got a brand new hair cut, signed on to the dating services on line and went for it! I just got a little extra added to my band and found out what they mean by restriction. Suddenly I am in a new zone with my band and with my love life! I just hit the 70 pound mark and I met a great woman who I have been dating for the last 2 months. Told her about my WLS just last eve. She has been thin and fit all of her life so I was pretty nervous telling her but she seemed to do just fine with it all so far. I got my first kiss right after we talekd about it.   I have spent ,my summer finding the adventurous athlete in myself again and find my self and my life to be unrecognizable from a year ago.

Danni, I was looking at your pics and I have followed your adventures on here and  FB. Those before and after pics show the change in your spirit as well as your body and it really says it all as I try to explain what I feel almost a year after my surgery!!

To every newbie and any one who is struggling, hang in there and visit here for support and inspiration. I wish for you the way that I feel as I write this. LIFE IS GOOD!!

Thanks Jill- it is amazing isn't it. Sometimes I just gotta pinch myself to make sure that this is real. We are on some crazy wonderful journey!!
