Long time...

Can't believe it's been over a year since I've been here.  It's good to see lots of new people.  I feel like an old dog whenever I come back.  Everyone has this excitement that, for better or worse, has since waned for me.  Not that I don't think it was a good thing, but the whole process and all of its ups and downs are just a normal part of my existence now.  But whenever I think about the excitement of watching those pounds fall away or the growing attention I started receiving from others, I smile.  Cherish these moments, folks.  There may come a time when slipping on those size 28 pants will just be another thing.

I've maintained at about 150.  At times I gain a little, then I lose a little.  I never worry about the fluctuations.  They've just become another normal thing.  I'm losing weight at the moment, although still recovering from recent double knee surgery.  I can't wait to hit the beaches or those mountain trails again.  It's been tough for someone who likes to be as active as I am.  But it's my fault for putting all that damn weight on my knees for all of those years.

Welp, while I'm laid up, I'll pop in every so often.  Best of luck to everyone.  And congratulations on all of your successes.

Cheers,
Chris

Impressive weight loss!  I used to work on an ortho rehab unit as a patient care tech and we cared for many knee replacement patients (as well as those getting hips and knee scopes).  I see what they go through in recovery.  Good luck and have a speedy recovery!!

I just took a look at your profile and pictures. I can't believe the difference since your surgery!!

Really appreciate your current perspective there will still be ups and downs but that's normal. Hopefully, I can remember that when I stop loosing or hit a plateau.

Wow, what an amazing difference!  I'd be excited if I looked half as good after my surgery in November and weight loss.  These days I'm happy getting into a size 42 jean, so I look forward to the day when I don't think anything about putting on a 28 (or even a 30) jean!
