Surgery in a week, Please pray for me!
Hi all this is Joe and i go in for surgery on the 30Th. I'm very nervous, and excited to finally get this part over with so i can be on my way to a relatively consistent weight loss. I just wish i were closer so i could have my kids come visit me while in the hospital, but i guess its good they wont see me all drugged up and in pain, Also i will pretty much be bye myself the whole time besides during surgery and when i get out. I just ask that anyone that reads this will pray for me, not only for a safe recovery but also for the strength to meet the challenges after wards. This site has always been great and im so thankful for oh and all the people on here. Hopefully i will see you guy's on the loser's bench lol!
Hey Joe, My thoughts and prayers will be with you, and I do relate to what you are saying about being nervous and being by yourself during and after the surgery. at this time in my life only 2 people know about this journey I am about to take, and they are 2000 miles away. I haven't been much of a person who wants attention when I am sick so I don't know how I will be on this, I do know that I want to build up a friend base so I can call or email.. just in case ... you know. So if you want to email/text/call me please do so. Take care, Trish
Good luck man - though luck is overrated!
You are going to do great. My experience, except for the complication I had with the catheter, the surgery went flawless. I had a couple hours of pretty intense pain while in the hospital.... until I farted...and never hurt since then. A little sore but it was nothing. I'm now 5 weeks out and my incisions have completely disappeared. Except for the fact that I have no desire for food, I wouldn't know I even had surgery.
The compliments are starting to role in from friends and stuff (You have a neck! and GIRL where's Yo ass???) and it feels awesome.
You must stay postive, know in your soul this is going to go perfectly, and laugh and have fun.
Cheers!

Thanks, I'm trying to stay positive, but its one of those thing when your waiting alot of crazy fears come out, Other then that I'm thinking positive and feeling pretty good. Glad to hear you are doing better and on your way to your goals. It is always great to hear that people notice the fruits of our labor. Thanks again for the support.
