Seriously, can life get ANY more embarrassing than this?

Sharing this is my mental therapy session...

So there was this girl...(we all know how that goes)...and I wanted to know her better. So I gave her my name and number on a piece of paper.  She works in the bar that I frequent and knowing their hours are a little different than the rest of the general public, I wrote on the note that I knew when she got off work...meaning I didn't mind if she called late.  Well, she didn't call and I'm cool with that.  Left her alone because I understand what no means.

Fast forward a week and I kinda notice things maybe are a little off when this dude has a stern chat with me about talking to her.  I'm going to leave out those little details for brevity.  I get it...I'm a smart chick.  Mind my own business for the most part.  Couple of weeks pass and we fast forward to yesterday afternoon.  My best guy friend asks me about some note I gave this girl because the owner of the bar was talking to him about it.  Apparently I scared this chick because I gave her a note saying I knew when she got off.  She decided I was threatening her (with what, I'm not sure) and she is scared of me.  

Did I mention that the whole bar by now knows that I stalked one of their favorite people and scared her?  I can tell you that they don't look too kindly on that.  I'm speechless.  See how life can take an unexpected turn just because I didn't think before I wrote. 

A little mortified over here.    

Sorry things went so awry with trying to meet the girl. It sucks when life seems to turn into a bad sitcom episode. LOL! Hopefully you can figure out how to smooth things over with her or at least consider it a "lesson learned". Eventually you'll be able to look back on it and laugh. Better luck next time...

Fortunately I can laugh about it now...cause what else can you do?  It's like the bank robber who writes the note on his own deposit slip....would I write my name and number on a threatening note?  Makes me giggle....

What an unexpected twist, huh? Thanks for sharing. It will make me think twice before handing out notes to strangers who might misinterpret my meaning...kind of like sending emails and finding out the one you sent to your friend that you thought was funny, she thought was an insult and won't speak to you any more...

I'm still horrified actually.  And I learned several lessons from this.  No notes is #1 on the not to do list.  And actually, I'm pretty sure I won't EVER want to or try to date someone from a bar.

Wowie. Ya that does seem pretty embarassing. It reminds me of when my gf & I first got together. When we met we became friends but I was attracted to her. The only thing is I had no clue if she was attracted to me too. So.it was the big question of "are we friends or is there something more?" That's always a struggle in the les world. Luckily, we figured it out and now we're engaged. Yippee!

Anyway, sorry you had the embarassing situation there. What a bummer. But if you think about it, it could be funny (when you look back on it.) Good luck!

I'm blessed with a good sense of humor fortunately, so I do see the funny side of this already thank goodness.
