Dating update (long post)
Well an update on how things are going with the couple that told me they were interested in a relationship with me a few weeks back. At first the husband told me that his wife was bi and was interested in me, but then the next day when she wasn’t there he told me that he was also attracted to me. I told him I didn’t have feelings for him like that and only thought of him as a friend, but then over the next week or so I did start to develop a strong attraction for him. I was really confused about my feelings for her because I was getting no vibe from her that she had ANY interest in me other than friends. It’s also really hard for us to get the chance to talk things out between our different work schedules and since we both rent rooms at my uncle’s house and he’s usually there.
I told them I had had a dream about her and then in a text to her, I called her “dream girl". She replied that I was her dream girl too, but she just doesn’t show it. Other than tiny things like that there was just nothing to go on. Finally last week they were going over to the little house that they’re fixing up on my uncle’s property to do some work so I went along too, hoping we could talk. I said it was so much easier with the husband because he flirts with me and so it’s easy to flirt back. She finally told me that she was just really shy and wanted me to make the first move. Basically it came out that they’re both falling in love with me and if I only wanted to be with one of them, the other would accept the relationship if that’s who I’d be happy with. I told them that I really cared for them both and wanted the three of us to be together.
This past weekend, we went swimming and when we got home my uncle had gone to a friend’s house. The girl was standing in the kitchen on the phone so when I went by, I came up behind her and gave her a quick hug around the waist and kiss on the back of the neck. Well I ended up spending most of the night with them in their room. The guy told me several times that he loved me, but I told him I wasn’t going to say it bac****il I was sure that’s how I felt. He said his wife had been jealous because he was falling more in love with me than he was with her, but then later that night he said that he was starting to think that she and I loved each other more than we loved him. Umm, couldn’t really argue with him there. A cool thing that I found out that night too was that she had liked me and was attracted to me even before WLS and had wanted to go with me to Houston when I went for my surgery to take care of me while I recovered.
I know it still all sounds crazy, but I really want our little polyamorous family to make it work so we can all be happy. I’m planning to move with them when they leave the house we’re staying at and then somewhere else if it still doesn’t seem like enough privacy.

Thanks, Brooke. Surprised the heck out of me too that something like this would just come along. For years I'd imagined being the third partner with a couple (the polyamorous call the grouping a triad, but that sounds funny to me). But I didn't really think I could ever find a couple I could bond with rather than just someone who wanted a fling on the side.
